I told myself for years that I did not need a Luger. It didn't work.
After prowling Gunbroker for several weeks , I focused on an item which seemed to be somewhat under the radar. I was willing to settle far a mismatched shooter , given my budget , but I wound up with a matching (I believe) 1916 DWM. Ser.# is 9366L , exception is that the wooden floor plate is numbered to a different gun. The winning bid was $1056 , which I felt was a good price. Opinions and comments regarding that are welcome. I am about a month into my Luger initiation. I hope that I am in the proper category , in that the DWM in question is/was a military pistol. Any observations or comments which would expand on my knowledge base would be very appreciated. Now let's see if I can attach the images ... |
