Here is a photo of a 1917 DWM Double date that I picked up at a local auction on Sunday.
![]() The gun is in very good condition with all of the original Imperial proofs etc. All matching numbers including the mag and the grips. ![]() I believe, and I stand to be corrected that it may have started its days as a 1917 DWM P08 Long as the receiver is milled for the rear sight. The barrel seems to have been replaced and correctly numbered with the lands dia stamp 8.82 a eagle 83 acceptance stamp and interesting, S 42 stamped on the barrel and another little eagle and swastika. ![]() You can just see the S42 in the above photo. ![]() Note the Nazi depot number alongside the imperial proofs. The gun came in a really nice holster marked bml/42 with an inspectors stamp WaA788 complete with spare mag and stamped tool 855. Regards,
