1917 DWM All Matching

I know...well nothing about Lugers so I appreciate any and all information on this. The person wants $700 for it, but I'm trying for $600.


Is it a good buy and does it look safe to shoot?

Sorry for the lack of any really info on my end. I just know very little about Lugers besides a love of the look of them.


From the seller

The Good: It has all the correct markings and the serial numbers match everywhere I can see (including the magazine) except for the side plate, which is unmarked. I don't know if this part was not always marked, if the number got scrubbed off or if it is a replacement part. Markings are all clear and the barrel looks fine.

The Bad: The finish is rough. Has a good deal of pitting on the gun as the pictures show.
