I would add that their guns did not go to any war, and probably all their previous owners kept them in a collection after the military service, in fact when the owner left the Swiss Army they used to "privatize" the gun marking it with a "P" followed by the last two digit of the year. Recently I've seen a beautiful 1900/06 with a "P 34" marked almost on top of the serial number on the frame under the barrel ! :-(
So now we can call ourselves luky as we can easily find gorgeous LUGERS in almost mint conditions.
