Well, what can I say. Simply beautiful. Congratulations on a great find.
Your particular sub-variation of the 1939 42, is the SE63L SE63L, which means it has the stick eagle inspection stamps with the inspector number (63) in a large type face. These were made in the middle of the production run and represent the markings on about 1/3rd of the code 42 production in 1939. I note that you said it came with 4 magazines. Two, hopefully match the gun and should not be separated from it. However, if you are so inclined, it might be nice to publish the numbers of the remaining two magazines on the board and make them available for trade. There might be owners of the guns with which these magazines are associated eager to re-unite them with the gun. John |
