The presence of a citizen in the Oregon mall that had a concealed handgun permit, and that was able to stop that crime should remind us all (including the anti-gun hysterics):

The USA has a long history that clearly proves prohibition of things cannot correct behavior. (Alcohol; drugs; prostitution... etc).

Prohibition doesn't work; repeating the same mistakes (by enacting more gun prohibitions) cannot solve the problem.

The only thing that can correct the behavior of a violent criminal is immediate overwhelming counter-force.
