Default Firing pin spring guide

I have a 1916 DWM. Cocking my pistol, the spring guide pops out. I noticed the "lug" is severely worn. Can I get a replacement guide? Do I need a replacement for the firing pin also. I read one post here that said, for shooters, the WW I firing pin should be replaced with a vented WW II firing pin. I am reluctant to shoot with modern ammunition.
