Default WW1 Luger?

Hello,

We have what we believe to be a WW1 Luger, brought back to the USA by our great uncle. A friend wants to buy this pistol for a gift and we are willing to sell it at a fair (for both parties) price.

Can anything be told by the serial # stamped on the barrel and just below it? (27941) All the parts have the last 2 # of the serial stamped on it. (Except the clip) It also has a stamp on it that looks more like am American Eagle type Crest. This weapon has been fired maybe 10 times in the last 30 years, prior to that we don't know! We think that this weapon is in execellent condition, but we are not positive.

We have posted pics in an album here and am open to suggestions. If there is someone in the K.C. metro area that could evaluate this pistol we'd like to hear from/of them.

Thanks,
oleCB
