First Issue grips - serialized?

Thanks for the great feedback. The luger came today and I am in the process of getting some pictures together. I noticed that one grip had a 0 on it and the other D on it. One more question, the firing pin is also unnumbered. it looks to be original by the patina and style. Does anyone know if the firing pins were numbered at this time? Also, I apologize for having to ask, but unfortuantely all my references are in NY and I am in Fl right now. Again, thanks to all. -- Hal
