New Member - Luger Info - Help

Hi to all,
As stated above, I am a new member and have questions about my "Simson & Suhl Co." Luger my father brought back from Germany in 1945.
Serial #8603 is stamped all over including the inside of the wooden grips.
I've researched all I could find, but am unable to determine age.
Any help you expertd can give will be appreciated.
