A coworker is Iranian and reads Farsi. She translated the numbers and script on the gun. She also thought it was a very interesting piece of history. The script on the top strap reads "Manufactured in the weapons making plant at Doraj (I probably misspelled that) The gun itself is numbered 3568 along with the stock and all parts match except for the magazine which is numbered 3771
So I'm assuming the Germans shipped the Persians the guns and then the Persians restamped them. Is this correct? |
