Thank you for all the replies.

I have looked and looked at the suffix and the suffix chart listed and I am convinced it is an L suffix, it is definately not a B and the loop is too tall to be an "E". How come there is no date stamp on the chamber?

I would really like to know when it was made, is it a 1923 commercial? The original barrel length was still 6" (as posted in the military P08 thread, it has been built into a .22 kit), but it isn't a commercial navy since the rear toggle link has the standard fixed sights. I also thought the commercials had 'hidden' parts numbers...
