Default Is this mag authentic or repro?

In the photo below the bottom mag is authentic from a 1923 Commercial.

The top mag is the one I am curious about. There are a couple of differences and I am not sure if it is a reproduction or if it is period correct (and if so, for what type of Luger?)

The main differences are the matte finish, and the lack of checkering on the thumb button - it has concentric circles instead. Also the machining of the aluminum base is a little different. Neither have any markings.

Thanks,

-- Dan
