DWM Military Luger magazines were stamped this way from the First Issue (1908-1909 undated chamber) through 1911. Beginning 1912 magazines were numbered in the more conventional, crossways fashion.

These early magazines are not commonly seen (I searched for months for one), and are not cheap when you find one.

An interesting feature of this example is the serial number. DWM 1908 through 1911 production was numbered in a single sequence (no-suffix through f suffix), making this magazine the mate to one of the earliest DWM Imperial Lugers.
