Whats up everybody? I've lurked here for a bit and finally signed up after purchasing my first Luger, a 1936 S/42.
I will hold off on posting pics until I have the pistol in hand and can take good ones to share. Where I'm a little confused is with the magazine. It doesn't have the alpha suffix (p on this particular Luger), and the stamping appears slightly different than most I've seen, though the number does match the pistol's SN. Could this be a period replacement? Or a right out fake? It was not sold as a matching gun as the side plate is mismatched. Scratching my head on this one. Wish I had pics of the full magazine to share, but for the moment just wondering if anyone has seen a mag base stamped in this way. |
