The change from S/42 to 42 code, from the mid to late test proof, and from the E/63 to E/655 acceptance stamp all occur during 1939. During 1939 Mauser produced approximately 26,300 S/42 code Lugers in the 4100n-3700q serial range and 93,000 42 code Lugers in the 2000q-5000z serial range for the German military.

So, a 1939 (year), Mauser made luger for the army
