The part I was seeking opinions about was:

"Since one of these 2 lots was a lot I was outbid on, I am interested in finding out if the item is available to purchase.
RIA took my name etc and said they would notify the seller.

Anyone have any thoughts about this?"

Their "promise" to transmit my "willingness to purchase" to the owner of the good was deceptive.

They do not benefit by facilitating a transfer of goods outside of the context of an auction...no matter what all your secretaries say...
