Holster storage, preservation & packing???

Anyone with experience or education with the storage and interior packing for holsters?

I have been told a good packing material is newspaper and myself I have been using the small bubble wrap. Not packed too tightly but enough to keep the form.

Also, what are the thoughts or experience for keeping the corresponding mag-clip in the pouch while in storage?

Any experience and thoughts?
