Glen,
To expand on John's cautionary note, the Ideal stock/holster can be attached to a 1900, 1902, or 1906 Luger, but only the American Eagle variation. Congratulations to your friend, they are a very neat accessory. The Ideal stock/holster was patented in 1904 (1901 in Great Britain), and marketed until about 1910. One needs to be alert when looking at one of these--it is not commonly recognized amongst most Luger collectors that there were actually versions made for revolvers and Colt large-frame auto-loaders as well, and a Luger will not fit these. --Dwight |
