Hey Dave, that looks alot like my 1939 42 code Mauser. It's in slightly better shape though. Good for you.

The 42 code is one of the most populous versions and is pretty common. Only the most pristine examples tend to be collectors. That was the first one I got too. And I love mine. I can just feel the history when I hold it in my hand. Very cool...

Can you take a shot of the top of the chamber? And the top of the toggle? Also, if there are any markings on the insides of the grips, shoot those too.

And a matching mag to boot. Very nice...

Nice macro work, BTW...
