We were certainly "awed" to meet someone we saw on TV and she was making sure to secure her young fan base!
Her parents moved away in 1968-69 or so. I later dated the girl who moved into their house! |

My father was a hard hat diver for the navy and specialized in under water demolitions. He was a consultant on Sea Hunt with Lloyd Bridges. I used to play with one of his son, Bo I think~ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_Hunt

Born in 1960, I thought I knew everything about Hogan's Heros, but who the hell was 'Vladmir Minsk'???
And no mention of Col. Crittenden??? |

Subsequently, most Russian characters on the show were portrayed as traitorous, flamboyant, sneaky or just plain kooky |

In fact, The pilot had Stewart Moss as "Olsen", the "Outside Man", one of the Heroes and Larry Hovis played a downed Leutenant who they were in the process of sending back to England!
Olsen disappeared, but was around on occasion as a recurring cast memeber and Larry Hovis became Sergeant Andrew Carter for the entire run of the show. |
