Default Wife’s luger project....

Started this a few years ago as my wife wanted a heavyer targetluger like the one I use but a tad lighter.
She was requesting a round barrel.
Barrel is made in one piece including the front sight base.
Front sight base will later contain a elevation adjustable front sight.

Gun is built on scrap, no nice collectible matching museumpiece have lost its life here!

Next step is the making of a rear toggle with integral vindage adjustable rear sight.
Material is Swedish Uddeholm Calmax toolsteel That is really good against shock.

Grips are made of stabilized hippo jawbone.
Of her choise.
I have the drawings but I had to tweak it considerably to get it to work. So several pairs of wooden grips was made prior to those

Lugers can get an awesome triggerpull and in some cases the play betwen pin and frame is really annoying.
Here is the two methods I have used to minimize the play.
Either replace pin and silversolder on a new pin or turning down pin and tinsolder on a sleeve.

Envy and lust are not commendable traits, but unfortunately that is my current situation. What lovely work.
