Looks like a "1920" alphabet commercial- p suffix block.
Need more pictures, 9mm or .30?

words help almost as much as pictures
caliber - any other markings - condition - etc ballpark is $700-$900 - could be more - could be less if mismatched, parts missing, etc

I think Don and Ed got it right...It looks like a DWM Alphabet Commercial with a C/N proof on the barrel and matching frame numbers. S# 2984p made in 1926 according to Jan Still's Weimar Lugers. It's more than likely a 30 cal. We need a few more pics to be sure.
"2984 p ...Wouldn't that be military???" It's also in the commercial range. "Would a commercial number the rear toggle link like that or is it military?" Yes, commercials are numbered on the rear toggle link.

Commercials can have suffixes also??? (My two commercials are both 5-digit with no suffixes).

![]() That is why they call them "alphabet" commercials! ![]() Started after the Great War with "i" and went thru "z", IIRC; though many did find their way into police use. First DWM, then Mauser.
