I've got a Luger Pistol and I've been searching in this site information about it, but I couldn't find a picture of the exact same model, It's a 7.65mm with the DWM logo on the top, It looks like the 1902 model (FATBARREL MODEL), but the barrel is normal (like the swiss model).
If you can give me any information about this Luger I will apreciate it. Maybe you need some pictures and I'd like to know where I can upload them. Hoping your regards thank very much.... Raul Antonio Cabido Illia 571 10º "F" CP (5000) C³rdoba Rep. Argentina |

Sounds perhaps like a 1900 Commercial, does it have a strawed (gold colored) extractor on top? Does it have flat checkered or dished toggle sides? Is the safety area have a white polished area? Does it have any Crown over B or U proofs? Does it have Germany stamped on it anywhere. More information always helps! Is it in the 0 to 19000 serial range? good close up pictures of the markings will help too! ~Thor~

Please Upload photographs of Your Luger Raul.
The upload link is at the top of the main discussion page. Or you can just click on the link below... Photos should be .JPG format and less than 180K in file size. Once you have uploaded a photo you will be given the URL to reference in your post. Copy the URL and Place it in the box provided on the post form that is called: Optional Image URL: and your photo will appear with the post. Please try to send clear photographs of both sides and the top of the Luger. In addition, the information that is needed to correctly identify your Luger is shown in the Identification sheets that are under the Technical Information link on your left. If you post that information asked for on the identification sheet and the three clear photographs we can do a much better job of identifying your Luger. If you do not have the means to reduce the file size of your photographs to less than 180K then send them to me and I will be glad reduce them for you. Raul, On top is a photograph from my photo collection of a Luger Model 1900 Commercial. Yours is on the bottom for a comparison of appearance.
Are old guns like this hard to find in South America? regards, John Sabato http://boards.rennlist.com/upload/1900Comparison.jpg |

Lugers were popular in Argentina in the early 1900's. My wife is from Argentina and her father has a couple. wnership of guns in Argentina is difficult these days. I've seen a lot of 1900 model and 1902 carbines that came from Argentina.

Some of the carbines have the name of the Argentine importer stamped on the barrel. This may possibly have been done at DWM.
