Gents, has anyone necked down 9mm luger brass to .30 luger. I know the neck is short but since the cartrige headspaces on the shoulder would it be safe? Thanks Joe.

Okay, I had it my private messages...
A good friend of mine has done exactly what you have proposed. I haven't asked if I could use his name so he shall remail nameless unless he chooses to post here...Here is the result: ![]() 30 Luger (Fiocchi) on the left and 7.65x19 on the right. They end up about the same in length more or less. I might note that I did not custom throat my barrel as Esko did, I just relied on the 30 Luger dimensions there. Here is what else he had to say about the short .30 caliber wildcat: Quote:

John, That is very cool but I want to run 9mm brass through .30 luger dies. The shoulder is good but the neck is short. I seated a bullet and it seats well. I just need to know if it is dangerous to shoot like this. Thanks Joe.

Thanks for checking in Rick... I knew you would... but since I didn't have a chance to check with you first, I left your name out of it...
