I want to make sure I am undertanding something correctly. If a Luger is not ejecting the empty brass and the problem goes away with hotter loads, will cutting a loop off of the recoil spring help a weaker load to cycle? I am getting close to the maximum load and the problem is almost gone. I would prefer to use a weaker load and save wear and tear on the gun.

Steve; you can buy a new weaker spring from Wolff. What load do you use that you believe is getting close to max?

At the range today I found the same problem with 115 gr. FMJ but no problems with 124 gr. FMJ from the same manufacturer. I have a 1939 S/42.
