The seller claims this is a 1916 Navy Holster, but I am skeptical. It looks to me like it might be commercial instead of military. Any experts out there that can verify?
Here is the sellers description: Brown leather Marine Luger holster. On the back are the following markings present : JOSEPH SCHWARTZ & CO, BERLIN N.30 , 1916. A bear silhouette is present ( Berlin )After research some friends told me that this holster should be the 1904 Model. Inside a Luger tool pouch in the flap is present. The tool is also there. 2 markings are present inside the flap : KM and U 783. Unknown what these mean. |
