Default Cocking problem

I have read the "sticky" regarding this problem. My weapon is a 1918 DWM. I took it to the range last week just to confirm functionality. The first round chambers and fires, next cartridge chambers but pistol will not ****. The pistol is clean and well lubricated. Spring plunger on the sear bar is free and well lubricated. I did notice that the upper end of the trigger lever is worn literally paper thin. Any thoughts that this could be the problem? Thanks!
