I have another couple questions on a Luger I have. Its a 1913 DWM with the 1920 Weimar government ownership stamp? Did I get that right?
![]() It also has the sear saftey. All parts match except the trigger and the magazine. My real question though is.... are the grips original or repros? They are old, but I've never seen ones that look like these. They have a bevel around the edge and are somewhat thick. Its in good over all condition with some wear. The bore looks good a shiny. I have several photos of the gun. If anyone can give me some other info on it, that would be great! What would be an approxomate value of this? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Pretty sure the grips are older repro, as the holes in the rear many times are just like that, and no last two of the serial number. The grips are in the Swiss style, not the p08 style.
The side plate I am pretty sure is an Erfurt, but it being cut for a sear safety is weird ![]() Ed

Side plate has the Enfurt crown. So, same number but from a different pistol.
Grips are repro as stated above. I think Italian made? Bob |

That stamping beside the numbers on the side plate appears to be an Erfurt stamping suggesting that is originally an Erfurt-made part. I'm a bit confused by that and the matching numbers too. And the 4 serial numbers on the left side of the barrel extension seem a bit smaller than usual too. No white paint in the safety lettering.
But we need to keep in mind that once the police got ahold of them there were parts replaced, bluing re-blued, grips replaced, mags. and numbers re-stamped. These guns rarely match in the way that we are used to. You asked about value, and I'd put it around $800, but the police Luger guys may tell me I'm all wet. Welcome aboard. dju |

The pistol also has a stock lug. Looks to be a b under the number on the frame, not sure if the b range had stock lugs on a 1913 yet?
One of the most rough looking stamped 1920 I've seen so far.

Rough? I wouldn't say that exactly. It's certainly seen use, but I've seen worse. You must have some pristine pistols in your collection.
