I'll bet that one could tell some stories...
There is a black plastic bottom mag, E63 as I recall, that has no serial number, and is correct for that gun. An easy fix for your problem. Otherwise what you have is fine. Nice gun, and Welcome! dju |

Nice, veteran pistol. As David mentioned, there is not enough collector value in your gun to warrant additional expense for a period, correct mag. Your takedown lever spring seems to be missing. Not a huge deal, but I would replace it so your T/D lever does not drop out and get lost while disassembling for cleaning.

I may be wrong, but the magazine looks like it could be a FXO, E/37; which would be correct for a byf 42, unmarked.
