Buffed to within an inch of it's life!
If they would have left it on the wheel just a little longer. It would have looked just like a Ruger Mark1.

How could they do all that and not chrome plate the mag and outfit the piece with some of those Fritz faux mother of pearl grips?

Cheap? I don't know. Maybe. Probably not.
I had a hard time to figure out: keeper, filler, shooter, or parts donor, which role this long barrel can play. |

I've just realised:all I have to do is take that dipped E german byf, swap out a couple of matching parts, buff of those nasty sharp edges, paint it gloss black and I can triple my money ! I used to think a quality restoration by someone like Thor was the way to go, I feel such a fool.
