Curly1 03-16-2008 05:57 PM

Nice an shiny

Hugh 03-16-2008 06:01 PM

:banghead: "professionally restored"?????:roflmao:

jamese 03-17-2008 07:13 AM

Hardly makes a good shooter.....would have to bead blast it to get rid of the shinyness......

thegundude 03-17-2008 07:34 AM

But there's LOTS of pictures... :)

That thing is hard to look at. In fact, it's shinier than the Arty I got from Ed! :D

pipeman45 03-18-2008 12:33 PM

Buffed to within an inch of it's life!
If they would have left it on the wheel just a little longer.
It would have looked just like a Ruger Mark1.

How could they do all that and not chrome plate the mag and outfit the piece with some of those Fritz faux mother of pearl grips?

Maybe they mean profusely restored.

dalep38 03-18-2008 02:27 PM

I'd hate to have to fathom the reserve on that garbage!!
Thank You, Dale

John Sabato 03-18-2008 02:47 PM

His reserve is $999 and the buy it now price is $1099

What a lame description... the sideplate does NOT match...

c3006 03-18-2008 08:48 PM

I allways love a auction that starts out with "Here we have" :)

alvin 03-18-2008 09:15 PM

$730 + $15 shipping. Good bore. Very little mechanical wear. Works. No reserve.

dreiluger 03-18-2008 09:58 PM

yikes ... that is a rough one but if cheap .... hmmmm

alvin 03-19-2008 02:11 AM

Cheap? I don't know. Maybe. Probably not.

I had a hard time to figure out: keeper, filler, shooter, or parts donor, which role this long barrel can play.

Stu 03-19-2008 04:53 AM

I've just realised:all I have to do is take that dipped E german byf, swap out a couple of matching parts, buff of those nasty sharp edges, paint it gloss black and I can triple my money ! I used to think a quality restoration by someone like Thor was the way to go, I feel such a fool.

davidkachel 03-20-2008 06:08 PM

I want to sell a bridge to the guy who bid $997 on that buffed-to-death masterpiece.
