My father has a P08 which my grandfather brought back from WWII; it's in rather good condition with full numbers matching... Although I could shoot it if I wanted, and I infact have... I'm hesitant to shoot very much simply because I don't want anything to happen to it.
SOOOO, I'm left with this idea... Buying a cheap, mechanically sound P08, having any work done on it that I could get done to increase reliability and accuracy (feed work, trigger work... so on), then have it refinished with Robar NP3 (http://www.robarguns.com/axcoatings.html) Any thoughts? Any idea who where I could have this sort of work done? Or for that matter, where I could get a good shooter at? I could careless about finish, so long as it's not severly pitted... numbers matching isn't an issue either. Thanks!! |

Welcome to the Lugerforum.
That is sound judgement on not shooting the all matching family heirloom. I would check with Hugh Clark (Hugh), Tom Heller (LugerDoc) about the availability of a shooter. Finish is a personal preference thing....
