1908 Bayard 25 cal. & Holster

A nice 25 cal. 1908 Bayard. These in 25 cal. are rather scarce. Most were made in .32 and .380. By the wear marks holster and gun have been together a long time. Very uncommon holster. Any guesses on origin?

Very nice! The basket weave holster suggests made in the USA, probably anywhere from the '20s to the '50s...but I would wager earlier rather than later, pretty much contemporary with the gun. That's my WAG

Very cool Bill! Nice setup. Ron is likely correct..the closure snap is an ancient type. Neat design for the holster.

I agree with Ron that the basket weave design is predominantly American. The early "ball" snap dates from the 1930's.

This is a really beautiful rig. I have always liked the Bayards, especially the military proofed models. Envious.....
