1908 Bayard 25 cal. & Holster
4 Attachment(s)
A nice 25 cal. 1908 Bayard. These in 25 cal. are rather scarce. Most were made in .32 and .380. By the wear marks holster and gun have been together a long time. Very uncommon holster. Any guesses on origin?

I love it and the holster is so cool ;)

Very nice! The basket weave holster suggests made in the USA, probably anywhere from the '20s to the '50s...but I would wager earlier rather than later, pretty much contemporary with the gun. That's my WAG :)

Very cool Bill! Nice setup. Ron is likely correct..the closure snap is an ancient type. Neat design for the holster.
|
I agree with Ron that the basket weave design is predominantly American. The early "ball" snap dates from the 1930's.

It's a neat one. Congratulations, Bill!

Is this a blow-forward pistol?

This is a really beautiful rig. I have always liked the Bayards, especially the military proofed models. Envious.....
