Got my first Luger today, and have now read a lot of information on this webside. Its a new world!
During my former carrier as an officer in the Norwegian army, I have used the Luger on duty, but never known its detaliled history concerning the different models etc. When I now got the offer to purchase one (from a friend of the family, that did not want to keep it after her husband died. It was stolen for many years, but was recently returned by the police), its exiting to try to find out the detalis. As far as I can see this is a "shooter". At first I thougt that it have the same numbers on the parts, but it looks that some of the numbers has been stamped after if was first made and the original numbers has been removed. The barrel is also different from all the barrelels that I have seen on any pictures (it has a form as a nut on the chamber side, and the sight is also different from the "normal" Luger. There is a crown marked on top, but no serialnumbers). Most marked parts looks like the period around 1916, but it also has a"byf" part. The mag must be very modern sinve it has "made in Denmark" stamped on the bottom. I hope somone can tell me more about this Luger. Hopefully the changes was done no later than wwII..
