1914 luger help

i am new to this forum. inherited luger marked 1914 w/serial no. 3986 on barrel but also has 4518 i guess on the frame (above the trigger area--i am not firearm savvy.) has very fancy DWM (?) on top. stamped Germany in english on side. other markings german style sts? w/a stylized eagle/crown?

supposedly grandfather brought this to u.s. from mexico after 1910 revolution. what do i have? thanks, richard rivera.
