7.65 DWM pocket automatic

No, it's not a luger, but maybe you guys can help me out. I'm looking for any information I can find about the browning 1910 copy that DWM made in the 1920's. They have NO markings other than the dwm script and the crown over N proofs on the slide, frame, and barrel. I have looked and looked all over the web and can dind nothing other than a passing mention of it. It is NOT an Ortgies clone. It is a browning 1910 just made by DWM. Thanks!

Thanks alot ED and Pete!!!!!! You guys have just given me more information on my pistol than I have been able to dig up in YEARS! Apparently mine is a model 22 as it has the wooden grips. It is in about 95% condition and has the original shoulder holster in same condition. the holster is marked D.R.G.M. and Akah. It's a nice little shooter but it seems I won't be shooting it as much as I used to.....which only amounted to about 80 rounds in 5 years anyhow. I'll have some pictures up tonight in my gallery over at the gk43forum.

I've tried to post here before but it told me the files were too large. I'm a freakin' technoidiot!! I'm so techno phobic, I bought a mechanical watch for no other reason than so I simply wouldn't have to worry about changing the battery! I will try again.

Congratulations! - Very nice pistol with an original AKAH shoulder holster. I reckon these FN-DWM pistols are going to appreciate in value quite quickly as more collectors learn about them. I am planning to buy one with the blackite grips having the DWM lettering on the grips.

Small poll - which version would collectors prefer - wood grips or blackite grips?

Especially true on a p38. Those red bakalite grips are just plain neat!

The wood grips on this model are of exceptional quality, being made with the fine checkering usually found only on DWM Luger grips. For this reason I prefer the wood grips, but I would love to own both types.

I put out feelers over there. Thanks for the info Pete! I've got this thing plastered all over the place. You know what they say....persistence pays off. I know Ron Wood was looking for one of these DWM jobs and I'm glad to set him up.....for a Jager. He has had quite a bit of input about Jagers on the other forum so I know he has some contacts! From what I've been able to find out, Jagers aren't all that valuable....just rare. So Ron, come out come out wherever you are! :-p
