Hello,
Recently while visiting an Uncle of mine I was shown a black Luger holster. On the back, between the belt loops, is marked Ws1 over an eagle and swastika. To the right is marked P.08. I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to help me identify these markings. Thank you to all. Lothar |

Lothar, The PO8 started being applied to the back of luger holsters in 1941. I have not seen an Army acceptance WaA this low a number, so depending on the style of eagle (a photo would help) present, I would guess that this was a Luftwaffe acceptance, more scarce than the more frequently seen E/2. Hello TH,
The Ws1 marking is as clear as day from what I remember. The eagle is probably a good half inch below and to the right of the Ws1 marking. The spread winged eagle with no WaA number below it. Thank you for your help. Lothar |
