Ws1 Marked Luger Holster
 

Hello,

Recently while visiting an Uncle of mine I was shown a black Luger holster. On the back, between the belt loops, is marked Ws1 over an eagle and swastika. To the right is marked P.08. I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to help me identify these markings. Thank you to all.

Lothar, The PO8 started being applied to the back of luger holsters in 1941. I have not seen an Army acceptance WaA this low a number, so depending on the style of eagle (a photo would help) present, I would guess that this was a Luftwaffe acceptance, more scarce than the more frequently seen E/2. TH

The Ws1 marking is as clear as day from what I remember. The eagle is probably a good half inch below and to the right of the Ws1 marking. The spread winged eagle with no WaA number below it. Thank you for your help.
