Trigger Adjustments...

In this month's NAPCA newsletter, AutoMag, there is a bit of a write up about some limited-production, target lugers the Mauser folks made/sold in the 1970's. A photo in AutoMag shows two set-screws drilled/tapped into the top posterior suface of the trigger (i.e. portions of the trigger assembly that interact with the trigger lever/bar of the side plate).

I am tempted to post that photo, here, but worry about the NAPCA copyright...being a NAPCA member and all...

Have folks seen this trigger adjustment modficiation, before ? Does it work well ?

Thinking I might try such on one of my shooters with a new replacement trigger for the "experiment"...

An article on trigger adjustment, to include the two set-screw modification, was written by Mike Gorman and appeared in the May 1974 issue of Shooting Times.

Pete,

I seem to remember that someone (perhaps Hugh Clark) posted photos showing that trigger modification to limit travel... perhaps a search of both the old and current forums would prove fruitful...

I am not a lawyer and I don't play one on TV, but I don't think the copyright laws extend for as long as 30 years...

Seems that someone has to do something to keep the copyright going. I see that the song "Happy Birthday" has a copyright on it and someone gets paid when it gets used commercially. If they don't keep the copyright uptodate then it falls into the public domain, not sure how long that takes...
