Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie to the Luger Forum, and I want to say first that this is a great forum! Lots and lots of great information. Just bought my first vintage Luger, a 1918 DWM numbers matching (except of course the mag) and had the same concern with the barrel and rifling on my pistol. Looks very much like the pictures in this thread. After reading this thread I am a little less concerned about it. I plan to go out to the range and fire a couple of mags to see how it performs. I am going to use Winchester 115 gr FMJ. Any recommendations on solvents, brushes etc. to clean the build up in the bore? What about the ammo? Will the Winchester work fine? I'll report back after the range session. Thanks Josep |
