I was thinking of putting up a display of holsters at a show. It would seem that one (perhaps the only) of the things that would be interesting would be the markings.

On pistols, I would use a lacquer stick.

What, if anything, could be used on holsters (so as to enahnce the visibility of the markings) that would not hurt or damage the markings?

I've used this guy to build a variety of custom gun stands for me over the years:

Fort Sandflat

If you search around his web site, he even makes a stand for displaying a Luger w/holster.

He is an outstanding carpenter & wood worker. He is a regular at many of the North Texas and Oklahoma gunshows.

If you send him an idea for a display rack, he will draw up plans and make it. His prices are reasonable too.

Lew,

A light dusting with talc over the areas you want to highlight works pretty well. Sprinkle it on and then a quick swipe with a rag to get it off the smooth surfaces and a residue will be left in the indented marks.
