Display
I was thinking of putting up a display of holsters at a show. It would seem that one (perhaps the only) of the things that would be interesting would be the markings.
On pistols, I would use a lacquer stick. What, if anything, could be used on holsters (so as to enahnce the visibility of the markings) that would not hurt or damage the markings? |
I've used this guy to build a variety of custom gun stands for me over the years:
Fort Sandflat If you search around his web site, he even makes a stand for displaying a Luger w/holster. He is an outstanding carpenter & wood worker. He is a regular at many of the North Texas and Oklahoma gunshows. If you send him an idea for a display rack, he will draw up plans and make it. His prices are reasonable too. |
Lew,
A light dusting with talc over the areas you want to highlight works pretty well. Sprinkle it on and then a quick swipe with a rag to get it off the smooth surfaces and a residue will be left in the indented marks. Tom A. |
