I looked, all are new mags, no old, price is okay, about the same as e-bay for new MecGar mags.
Is this your company Steve? Ed

Do the MecGar mags work just as well as normal Luger Mags... I know this is the case with most modern mags, but it is an 80 year difference :]

Do the MecGar mags work just as well as normal Luger Mags ----YES... they are quality magazines. I much prefer them over the Triple-K type.

The largest Luger mag that fits in the pistol grip holds only 8 rounds...
The snail drum mag has been reproduced in the past, but not to my knowledge were any of the reproductions capable of holding more than 8 rounds (The snail drum didn't function on reproductions).

Morgan, To my knowledge, all the orig LPO8 snail drums were built during WW1. Some may still have been in use during WW2, but most likely for use with the Bergman MP18 SMG. TH

Morgan, I doubt you will find an original snail drum of ANY vintage for less than the $1000 price you have found... the only question is the condition of the item... the price is current market value for a snail drum.

Wow.. thats a lot for one magazine!
Since they where made during WW1, I won't get one for my 1940 byf. I might think about after I find a nice WW1 luger
