luger mags
Hear is a web site that sells luger mags:
http://www.ammoclip.com/L/luger1.htm |
I looked, all are new mags, no old, price is okay, about the same as e-bay for new MecGar mags.
Is this your company Steve? Ed |
No it is not my company.
|
Do the MecGar mags work just as well as normal Luger Mags... I know this is the case with most modern mags, but it is an 80 year difference :]
|
Do the MecGar mags work just as well as normal Luger Mags ----YES... they are quality magazines. I much prefer them over the Triple-K type.
|
Is there mags that takes more than 8 bullets besides the snail drum?
Btw. are working snaildrum mags reproduced today? |
The largest Luger mag that fits in the pistol grip holds only 8 rounds...
The snail drum mag has been reproduced in the past, but not to my knowledge were any of the reproductions capable of holding more than 8 rounds (The snail drum didn't function on reproductions). |
Thanks for the info! I quess I have to go for a WW2 snail drum, too bad they are so expencive and hard to find..
On another hand, that makes a collection more interesting;) Found this one http://my.qxl.no/accdb/viewItem.asp?IDI=13208630 the price starts at 10000nkr, that is almost 1000USD! So my search goes on.. |
Morgan, To my knowledge, all the orig LPO8 snail drums were built during WW1. Some may still have been in use during WW2, but most likely for use with the Bergman MP18 SMG. TH
|
Morgan, I doubt you will find an original snail drum of ANY vintage for less than the $1000 price you have found... the only question is the condition of the item... the price is current market value for a snail drum.
|
Wow.. thats a lot for one magazine!
Since they where made during WW1, I won't get one for my 1940 byf. I might think about after I find a nice WW1 luger;) |
