Not a bad shooter you've got there, pardner. It just needs a good chrome job and some fake ivory grips. Best regards, Norm

All kidding aside Fred, that's a lovely Simson. Congratulations! I'm sure that Ed will want to put it on his Simson list when he wakes up. Best regards, Norm

Very nice!!! All matching down to the grip screws.
It seems the survival rate of Simson's is very low, especially in that condition!!! Thanks for sharing.

Ed: Send pictures of the dawg. How's it's voice. I have an alto and a bass, we need a tenor to round out the pack.
Vince, The pups are mostly well. Elf, my avatar has had a lick sore for some time now. (Lick granuloma) We've tried everything, bitter apple, yuk, hot creams. She thinks those are condiments. then... BINGO! Rubbing it with fresh cut ginger root!!! Keeping fingers crossed. FN |

"Anybody knows what the R stands for?"
Ron's... Fred you've had it long enough. Send it back now. Fred, There's a product we got at a local pet supply (Mini Pet Mart). I don't recall the name, it's herbal based in a spritzer bottle. It gives off a scent that is like CS (Pepper spray) which dissipates quickly. Just don't inhale when you apply it. It works great on "Hot Spots" and other skin conditions, and they won't lick it off. It's not cheap, but very effective. Ron

Fred,
It's called "Schreiner's Herbal Solution". It comes in a pale green plastic spritzer bottle. The label has a floral design. The price is around $20 , I think. I just found a link for it on-line. http://www.barknpurr.com/Schreiner-H...4oz-P9104.aspx Ron

Hi Fred,
Our girl Maggie was lost after "Lick granaloma". I think, Sir, that I posted to you first when our vet helped her over the bridge. Maggie had "TPLO" surgery on each hind leg. The licking started after the second surgery. I truly believe that it became a compulsive disorder. After many med checks, no one could define the source of the licking. Love them each day and remember all that they have given to you/us. I am still in shock. When we lost Maggie, we decided that Rowdy would have to be a "lone Wuff". 1 1/2 years later, we have a new Dude on the farm. I have yet to figure out if he is handsome or just so yoogly that he is cute. Big step out of the box here. I have to smirk here, a 4 month old "Golden Doodle" and that little man is smart. His "Francois" heritage is so obvious at times. Monkey see, monkey do. Rowdy has taught "Bones" in the first week how to find and enjoy "horse doogies". Haaa, That moring kiss is sooo down on the farm. God bless you. Pete Man and Elf have a home that is in heaven on earth. Vince e |

Steve, Here's your chance!
Simson Luger book Review by Jan C. Still on Simson Lugers: http://luger.gunboards.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=12248 Quote: quote:Simson Lugers, Simson & Co. Suhl, the Weimar Years By Edward B. Tinker and Graham K. Johnson ISBN: 978-8-9727815-1-0 Size: 12' x 9'- 203 pages Published by Brad Simpson and printed in Thailand by Thai Watana Panich Press Co.: Brad and Thai Watana Panich Press did an outstanding job. This is a top quality hard cover book. Its 203 pages (with many color photographs) cover all aspects of Simpson production. Price: 69.95 plus $10 for postage (Total$79.95). Delux edition with leather bound cover: $125 plus $10 additional for postage. Review Simson Lugers Today I received a copy of Simson Lugers from its printer Thai Watana Panich Press in Thailand. It is a high quality hard cover book with abundant color photographs. Finally, Simson information, data, and history has been compiled under a single cover. Covered in word and picture are the 1925, 1926, undated, and ā€œSā€ toggle Simsons. The controversial 1927 and 1928 Simsons are covered appropriately. Also covered are the unit marked Simsons, proofs and acceptance stamps, police Simsons, the Kl 1933, reworks, vest pocket Simsons, construction details, accessories, and details of the history of Simson and Company. I highly recommend this new Luger book as an indispensable reference for the firearms collector or dealer. Jan C. Still Simpsons, LTD is the primary seller of this book. http://www.simpsonltd.com/index.php?cPath=1 __________________ Edward Tinker ************ Author of Veteran Bring Back Vol I and also Vet Bring Back Vol II, a collection of stories on guns & equipment brought back by GI's. http://www.simpsonltd.com Co-Author of the book "Simson Lugers", http://www.simsonlugers.com
