Marble, same as the sight manufacturer
picked this up at a antique flea market this morning.
It is just over the size of a quarter in width, and about 3/4 of an inch thick. Is it the same manufacturer of the Marble gun sights we see on lugers? Was told it is a WW1 compass, I liked it, so its mine now

Yep, same outfit for the sights, knives, hatchets, etc. I like Marbles stuff. Not sure if the compass is WWI era, but probably close (I have a Marbles compass llike yours)

The originals are today an amnestied Short Barrel Rifle, just like Luger Artilleries, Navies and Carbines. http://www.outyourbackdoor.com/article.php?id=1137 |

These compass' were sold by Marble's for inletting into rifle stocks. I've seen many old '94 Winchesters, Model 8, 81 and 141 Remingtons, '99 Savages , etc. with them imbedded into the butt stocks.
