I think it means "Only to be used for battle (or attack) purposes."

I think the first word is "Nur" and not "Nut." Nur means "only."

Default Great free translation site

Check this site: http://www.freetranslation.com

You just type in your foreign phrase and the English comes up (or vice versa)! I put your phrase in and it came out "Only for stroke shaft."

Default Thanks for the site

The phrase was part of the description of several shoulder stocked pistols. When I searched the word Anschlagschaft it came up in references to pistol with shoulder stocks.

I believe that the phrase "Nur fur Anschlagschaft" would translate as "only for shoulder stock".

I did not use that site for the translation. I have found those sort of websites wery good for "conversation"; but not for technical translations. I made two assumptions: 1- that "nut" was actually 'nur', 2-that this phrase was probably in relation to a firearm. I used a German-English Dictionary-"Worterbuch der Waffentechnik" to translate the word "anschlagschaft"- which, in this sense, is "shoulder stock". A "normal" dictionary translates "anschlag" as estimate, calculation, etc. and in relation to firearms as aiming, position.

"Nut" is right. it means the part of the grip where the wooden shoulder-part has to be fixed.
