Welcome back kidvett,

Sorry to hear about your hunting trip...-15!!! How far north did you go??

Anyhow, I decided not to buy the P226. When I called the seller, I found out that the gun was an early model, had 2 hi-capacity magazines (15 rnds) and to top it all, the guy didn't know what a de-cocking lever was!!! And he wanted $750 cdn for it Not such a good deal after all since I would have to buy 2 mags (after market $42 each+taxes+shipping OR factory new $83 each+taxes+shipping!!). I could also try to cannibalize (read modify) the 2 hi-caps except that would probably end-up screwing around with them for a few days and after ruining them, I'd end up throwing them out and buying 2 new ones anyway

** For our southern neighbours: hi cap-mags are prohibited in Canada

Since the gun is pre 1993, I find difficult to believe that he only put 1000 rnds through it (the guy is also selling a mini 14 that look likes it's from a science fiction movies with 30 rnds mags)

Anyway, enough blabla!!

Thanks to all for the wise and useful replies

Take care and
